Meet Dr. Herres

Prior to joining TCNJ’s psychology faculty in 2016, Dr. Herres earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Delaware and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Center for Family Intervention Science at Drexel University. While at Drexel, Dr. Herres was co- investigator on a clinical psychotherapy trial for suicidal adolescents and taught courses in research methods and statistics. Dr. Herres studies the role of emotional reactivity in the development and maintenance of emotional disorders, such as anxiety, depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder. The goal of her research is to identify targets of intervention for individuals with these conditions. Recently, Dr. Herres’s research has focused on mental health risk for survivors of campus sexual assault.
